Accounting Specialist
** Duties & Responsibilities:**
• Reconcile all bank accounts in QuickBooks with a -0- difference. Inform the CFO that they have been
completed.
• Responsible for monthly/quarterly financial reporting to various funding sources (vouchers).
• Record entries in accounting system for proper and accurate tracking of revenue and expenses for assigned
programs.
• Post VDC invoices and payments.
• Fully responsible for all invoicing in the absence of the Senior Accountant.
• Assist the Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with monthly closing.
• Edit department procedure manual in bullet point fashion, as needed.
• Assist with special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
• AS in Accounting preferred, or 4 years of experience in accounting
• Prior accounting, billing, and collections experience, preferred.
• Prior non-profit (NPO) experience, preferred.
• Grant reporting, contract management, payroll and expense reporting experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of grant processes and practices a plus
• Must be well organized and detailed oriented.
• Excellent writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
