Description: Accounting Supervisor
Lead the Accounting team of associates including collections specialists and accounts receivable to deliver accurate and timely accounting transactions and practices. Responsible for entering daily accounts payable transactions, creating financial reports, and completing month end processes. Partner with Sales and Service Directors to seamlessly manage cash flow, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and financial analysis.
Essential Job Duties:
Responsible for the direct oversight of the accounting function, including A/R, cash application, and collections.
2-3 direct reports
Daily monitoring, validation and recording of AP transactions and bank debits.
Reconcile cash deposits and debits, sales tax activity, and credit card activity
Prepare journal entries in conjunction with balance sheet account reconciliations and month-end close.
Timely completion of month-end close
Supervise collections specialist & AR clerk, including daily communication and providing feedback, coaching, training, goal-setting, and disciplinary tasks, as necessary.
Be the collections point of escalation, as needed.
Prepare budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
Maximize return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
Manage bank activity and relationships.
Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Prepares special reports.
Timely completion of month end close.
Skills/Qualifications: Self-motivated, high energy individual. Professional who thrives on being in a hands-on role with a strong sense of urgency. History of meeting and/or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual goals, building and maintaining vendor relationships, coaching, managing processes, market knowledge, and staffing.
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Minimum Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting/finance
Experience in working with multiple legal entities
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Special Knowledge/Skills and/or Abilities:
Managing processes
Financial software (Netsuite)
Developing standards
Auditing, accounting, and corporate finance
Tracking budget expenses

Minimum Salary based on experience: $60,000 - $75,000
