    ACCOUNTING & TAX SPECIALIST

    Intelligence Health Group Inc. is looking for a self-motivated Accountant & Tax Specialist to join our financial management department. This position plays an important role in our company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and compliance with local, state and federal law.

    The Accounting & Tax Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day internal accounting functions as well as tax-related accounting activities. This role involves handling financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The Accounting & Tax Specialist will work closely with the finance team to maintain accurate records, support the annual tax filing process, and ensure timely reporting. This position is essential in helping the organization maintain fiscal accuracy, meet regulatory requirements, and manage tax obligations effectively.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform daily internal accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.

    Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.

    Assist with the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.

    Monitor and analyze tax accounting and related issues to ensure compliance with changing tax laws.

    Work with external auditors and tax consultants as necessary to prepare for audits and filing deadlines.

    Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting and tax functions.

    Support budget preparation and cash flow forecasting.

    Conduct monthly reconciliation of accounts and investigate variances.

    Assist in tax planning and research to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits.

    Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

    Maintain organized and up-to-date tax records and documentation.

    Basic Job Requirements:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong background in tax accounting preferred.

    Certification: CPA or equivalent certification required.

    Technical Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and MS Office, with a concentration on Excel. Familiarity with tax preparation software is a plus.

    Knowledge: Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.

    Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities to review financial information accurately.

    Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.

    Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.

    Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

    Time Management Skills: Commitment to meet business and tax deadlines

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Prior experience with tax planning, compliance, and reporting.

    Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to both internal accounting and tax filing.

    Experience with ERP systems or advanced financial reporting tools.

    Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
