BendTec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for an Accounts Payable Associate to be an integral part of our team. Responsible to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete. Perform any combination of routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. May also check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers. Reports to the Controller.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
- Process 3-way P.O. matching invoices, up to 100 plus line items
- Process check requests
- Respond to all vendor inquiries
- Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
- Assist in month end closing
- Maintain files and documentation, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Process payments to suppliers and payments from customers including customer or supplier set up.
- Compute credit terms, discounts, shipment charges, or rates for goods or services to complete billing documents.
- Manage sales and use tax requirements with vendors and items purchased.
- Manage operational data and maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
- Assist and track payments for 1099 processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Education: Associate's degree(A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Experience: 1-3 years preferred - Open to all levels of experience.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office; experience with Accounting Software.
- Certifications & Licenses: None specifically required.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Possess the trait of accountability, detail oriented, loyal, organized, reliable, honest, research skills, and can work under pressure.
- Ability to effectively listen actively as well as communicate both orally and in writing.
