Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Accounts Payable Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. This role is perfect for someone who is reliable, proactive, and has a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Review and verify invoices for accuracy, match invoices to purchase orders, and enter data into the accounting system.

Payment Management: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring timely disbursement to vendors.

Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal stakeholders.

Record Maintenance: Maintain and update vendor files, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.

Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.

Communication: Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues and respond to inquiries.

Compliance and Reporting: Assist in month-end closing and generate reports as needed for management review.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time position with flexible working hours.

Expected to work 15-20 hours per week, with the possibility of adjusting hours during peak financial periods.
