    Job Summary A dynamic entertainment law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Bookkeeper to oversee our financial operations as an independent contractor. This role is ideal for a highly skilled accounting professional with expertise in law firm financial management, QuickBooks, and trust account compliance.

    Responsibilities

    Financial Management: Manage cash flow and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

    Accounts Payable: Manage bank accounts, vendors and pay bills.

    Bookkeeping: Data entry and reconciliations for multiple accounts including assets and liabilities.

    QuickBooks Proficiency: Utilize QuickBooks for financial tracking, reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of all financial data.

    Payroll Management: Manage payroll processes, using clearing accounts and ensuring timely and accurate payroll distribution.

    IOLTA Management: Oversee Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA), ensuring compliance with state regulations and proper client fund management.

    Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to senior management.

    Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.

    Qualifications

    Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a law firm or legal environment.

    QuickBooks: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.

    Excel: Advanced proficiency in Excel is mandatory.

    Legal Accounting: Familiarity with IOLTA management and trust account regulations.

    Education: Bachelor’s degree or a related field is preferred.

    Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    This is a remote position.
