  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company’s financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting overall accounting functions.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Accurate and timely review of all company payment activities
    • Invoice management – verifying and assigning general ledger codes while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
    • Audit, process, and reconcile credit card transactions
    • Point of contact for vendors and suppliers to address inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
    • Prepare and process payment batches including checks, electronic transfers, and payments within designated deadlines
    • Work closely with other departments to ensure the seamless and accurate flow of payment-related information and approvals
    • Maintain accounts payable records including vendor files, payment logs, and related documentation

    Qualifications

    • Valid driver’s license
    • Associate degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, or other relevant field
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or accounts payable
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office and fundamental knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting
    • Experience in large volume accounts payable is preferred

    This position works on-site out of our Champaign, IL office with the option of 1 day of hybrid/remote work after a probationary period.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Hourly starting rate - $20-$23 per hour

    The starting hourly range for this position reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of this posting.
