We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the company’s financial operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and supporting overall accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely review of all company payment activities
- Invoice management – verifying and assigning general ledger codes while ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Audit, process, and reconcile credit card transactions
- Point of contact for vendors and suppliers to address inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies
- Prepare and process payment batches including checks, electronic transfers, and payments within designated deadlines
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the seamless and accurate flow of payment-related information and approvals
- Maintain accounts payable records including vendor files, payment logs, and related documentation
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- Associate degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, or other relevant field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or accounts payable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office and fundamental knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting
- Experience in large volume accounts payable is preferred
This position works on-site out of our Champaign, IL office with the option of 1 day of hybrid/remote work after a probationary period.
