Who You Are
- 3-5 year of experience in accounting support services; QuickBooks experience preferred
- Experience with Google Docs and/or Microsoft Office Suites
- Effective oral and written communication skills in interacting with employees
- Strong organizational skills, an eye for detail and a sense of urgency
- Ability to understand and execute on established work procedures
- Ability to accurately enter financial information and data into necessary computer programs or spreadsheets
- Team player: ability to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others
- Possess a High School Diploma
- Completion of College level courses in Business or Accounting
What You'll Do
The Accounts Payable Clerk has primary responsibility for processing accounts payable and processing receipts from employees.
- Process all accounts payable information and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
- Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
- Using physical or electronic storage means, properly categorize and file all required documents and supporting documentation.
- Provide support for questions or documentation queries related to accounts payable or accounts receivable.
- Verify all payables have appropriate supporting documentation, or obtain the necessary documentation.
- Assist with making deposits or monetary transfers as directed.
