    Summary

    Perform the day to day processing of accounts payable transactions to ensure that finances are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

    Essential duties : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Receive and verify invoices and requisitions for goods and services.

    Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.

    Prepare batches of invoices for data entry.

    Data enter invoices for payment.

    Process backup reports after data entry

    Manage bi-month check run.

    Prepare vendor checks for mailing

    Prepare manual checks as and when required.

    Reconcile monthly statements from vendors.

    Maintain listing of accounts payable.

    Maintain updated vendor files and file numbers.

    Prepare 1099’s for vendors at year end.

    Maintain a filing system for all financial documents.

    Perform other duties as assigned.

    Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
      LANGUAGE SKILLS

    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY

    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
