We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Representative to join our finance team. The Accounts Payable Representative will be responsible for accurately processing and recording incoming invoices, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be highly organized, and have a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
Process incoming invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Match invoices with purchase orders, and verify quantities, prices, and terms.
Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Coordinate with internal departments to obtain proper approvals for invoices and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process payment requests, such as checks, wire transfers, and electronic payments, promptly.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable records and documentation.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and accruals.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses.
Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the accounts payable function.
Adhere to financial regulations, internal controls, and data security protocols.
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist
Proficient in the use of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel.
Understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and compliance.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
