    Job Description

    The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work off the already maintained Standard Operating Procedures of the current Staff Accountant role to ensure timely and practical support of the Finance and Accounting team for Accounts Receivable. This will include invoicing customer sales orders during the peak timing of the cyclical sales year, performing some balance sheet reconciliations for month end closing activities, and directing and answering customer inquiries regarding invoicing and collections.

    Here’s what you’ll do:

    • Customer invoicing according to our Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Customer collections – work toward expedient resolution of customer collections, maintaining notes and files on all collections activities. Escalating when necessary.
    • Customer inquiries – assist with standard inquiries from distributors and growers regarding sales order invoices and collections. Redirect to appropriate parties as necessary.
    • Monthly reconciliations – Assist the Finance and Accounting team on month end closing activities to primarily include balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Filing/scanning project to convert paper files to centrally maintained electronic files.
    • Other duties as time permits.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • At least a two-year degree in accounting, finance, economics, or related field. Degree requirement may be substituted for certifications, current school, or work experience.
    • Previous Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience strongly desired.
    • Familiarity with accounting terminology and/or previous hands-on experience with month end closing activities strongly desired.
    • Willingness to learn, and to work within a dedicated team of Finance and Accounting professionals, while working collaboratively with other internal teams.
