  • Responsibilities

    Our client, a Fintech company providing alternative funding to small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs), is seeking a proactive and highly-motivated Accounts Receivables Manager to supervise their in-house collections team in Jersey City, NJ.

    The ideal candidate will lead the collections process, develop strategies to optimize cash flow and ensure compliance with applicable regulations while managing both internal teams and external legal counsel.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the collections team and oversee the end-to-end collections process, ensuring adherence to company policies.
    • Set performance goals for the team, provide regular feedback, and conduct training sessions to improve efficiency.
    • Develop and execute collection strategies, assessing the likelihood of recovery on defaulted accounts.
    • Implement process improvements to reduce overdue accounts and enhance cash flow.
    • Oversee judgment enforcement, including levies, garnishments, and other judicial remedies.
    • Supervise external collections counsel on active litigation cases to ensure effective case management.
    • Monitor compliance with applicable contracts, land ocal, state, and federal laws.
    • Generate regular reports on collections performance and recommend strategic adjustments.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of solid experience managing collections teams, preferably in a Fintech industry.
    • Strong expertise in commercial collections processes, credit risk assessment, and accounts receivable management.
    • In-depth knowledge of collections laws, regulations, and judicial processes.
    • Experience with court filings and enforcement strategies.
    • Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to navigate compliance requirements.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
