    The Staffing Specialist is responsible for exercising discretion and independent judgment in selecting the most appropriate available associates to fill assignments and will provide excellent customer service to our clients when presenting associates for placement. The Staffing Specialist will supervise and develop a large number of Associates throughout the length of their assignments.

    A successful Staffing Specialist must have: considerable skill in interviewing techniques; the ability to perform non-biased candidate assessments; an extremely high level of occupational knowledge; a significant understanding of various industries; and an extensive knowledge of human resource policies, labor regulations and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

    This position requires an extremely perceptive and resourceful person, who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels. As unique situations present themselves, the incumbent must be sensitive to client needs, employee goodwill, and the company’s best interest.

    Job Description:

    ·         Attend recruiting events (job fairs, social networking events, community groups, etc.)

    ·         Use online recruiting resources and social media (Monster, Twitter, etc.) to source and recruit

    ·         Develop and maintain a network of community, school, government, association, and group contacts to source qualified candidates

    ·         Review resumes for skills, experience and knowledge required for position requirements

    ·         Contact inactive associates for reactivation and referrals

    ·         Contact web applicants to conduct pre-screening and schedule interview appointment

    ·         Assess candidates on their knowledge, skills, abilities, competencies, goals and preferences by screening, interviewing and conducting background checks and a minimum of two reference verifications

    ·         Explain applicant process in-depth, and provide and explain applicant eDocuments.

    ·         Coordinate testing and evaluation of applicants (industrial evaluation and/or clerical evaluations)

    ·         Post-interview, provide and explain tax eDocuments in depth

    ·         Complete E-Verify check for all new hires, in accordance with E-Verify requirements

    ·         Ensure that OSHA video is viewed by all industrial applicants

    ·         Complete other duties as assigned

    ·         Provide comprehensive orientation to associates on policies, procedures, expectations, rights and responsibilities, and ensure their understanding and agreement

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    ·         Basic knowledge of employment law and regulations

    ·         Ability to direct and manage people in a supervisory role

    ·         1+ year previous recruiting, interviewing, and hiring experience required

    ·         Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including report preparation and record-keeping; intermediate skill level with Excel, Word, and Outlook; basic skill level with PowerPoint

    Standard business hours; candidates must be flexible to work overtime or weekends as needed
