BryceTech is looking for an Acquisition Support Specialist to provide advisory & assistance services (A&AS) to support a major defense program, focusing on Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition life cycle planning and Space Force systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in acquisition analysis, milestone documentation, and acquisition documentation coordination; understand how classified funding is distributed and steps within the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process. The candidate will assist the client on cost, schedule and performance matters as it relates to acquisition processes within the U.S. Space Force, particularly within Space Systems Command (SSC).
The Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Domain Awareness and Combat Power (SDACP) (SSC/SZ), Battle Management, Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) (SSC/BC) provides highly classified Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, Defensive and Offensive Space Control (DSC/OSC) capabilities, and space test range assets to meet current and projected DoD operational requirements. SSC/SZ-BC develops, integrates, tests, deploys, sustains, and supports operations for systems that meet strategic and tactical operational needs. This mission area requires personnel with experience and an in-depth understanding of the environments that include ground, near-space, space, and any system that operates in those environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Provide space acquisitions, engineering, operations, and technical advice and assistance to support acquisition life cycle for advanced technology, future concept development and integration activities
Revise or provide draft Joint Capabilities Integration and Development Systems (JCIDS) and acquisition documentation; and support the presentation of products to customers (i.e., Initial Capability Documents, Interface Control Documents, Milestone documentation, etc.)
Provide SME-level technical and/or programmatic status report of any individual program or of the portfolio
Identify areas of improvement in the acquisition process
Understand and support the client on commitments, obligations, and expenditures of funds and perform earned value management and schedule analysis; maintain awareness of program schedules, monitor acquisition implementation, report requirement shortfalls, and provide an assessment based on the identified risks
Provide subject matter expertise in support of integrated baseline reviews/business financial reviews
Analyze client by reviewing and analyzing packages delivered in support of DoD programs (i.e., Program Contractor Status Reports, Contract Performance Reports, Integrated Master Schedules, etc.)
Advise client on technical engagements (technical interchange meetings, design reviews, program conferences, video teleconferences, telecons, working groups, and informational meetings)
Assist client in source selections subject to FAR 9.505-4
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Must Have Experience Requirements:
3-10 years of relative experience
Experience in DoD acquisition life cycle planning, including acquisition documentation and milestone processes
Expertise in leading, managing, and contributing to major defense programs
Experience with U.S. Space Force systems and organizations, particularly within Space Systems Command
Experience working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
Desired Skillsets:
DAWIA or PMP certification.
Experience with the PPBE process.
