Position Summary We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and overseeing recreational, social, and therapeutic activities that promote wellness, community, and personal growth for our clients. This position is essential for creating a supportive, engaging, and positive atmosphere within the facility to enhance the overall recovery experience. This is an essential position working second shift with weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement a structured weekly and monthly calendar of activities that align with residents’ interests, needs, and recovery goals.
Facilitate group and individual activities such as art therapy, outdoor activities, fitness classes, music sessions, and mindfulness exercises.
Coordinate with clinical staff to tailor activities to support residents' therapeutic objectives.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment that encourages residents to participate, connect, and build new life skills.
Monitor and document residents' participation, engagement, and feedback to continually improve activity offerings.
Manage the activities budget and resources, including supplies, transportation for offsite activities, and facility spaces.
Collaborate with local community organizations and volunteers to enhance program offerings.
Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety guidelines, and regulations.
