    No personal cares: Each team member needs to be independent and able to take care of their personal needs. (Occasional accidents happen to us though)

    We are seeking an energetic Activity Aid to join our team! You will be leading individuals in meet collective and individual needs. We are a small day center for Adults with special needs. (Examples: Autistic, Blind, Repeated Seizures, and cognitively challenged)

    You:

    Are interested in becoming someone where your job is to make others happy and to give other’s purpose.

    Are passionate about helping individuals reach their potential.

    Have experience with working with people with special needs.

    Like crafting, outdoor activities, cooking, puzzles, board games, and having fun.

    Are open to guiding your colleagues and be guided by them in turn.

    Responsibilities:

    Help individuals with developing social and emotional skills

    Use a range of creative ideas that may include crafts, games, puzzles, outdoor activities, and community activities.

    Communicate with parents and other school personnel

    Assess students’ skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones

    Qualifications:

    Strong understanding of people with special needs

    Good verbal and written communication skills

    Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines

    Problem solving and mediation skills

    Knowledge of working as a Team

    The desire to have fun
