Position Summary
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Acupuncturist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality acupuncture treatments to patients, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of various health conditions through the insertion of fine needles into specific points on the body. The Acupuncturist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and promote overall wellness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and conditions.
- Administer acupuncture treatments and other related therapies to alleviate pain, improve health, and enhance overall well-being.
- Educate patients on lifestyle changes, dietary recommendations, and self-care practices to support treatment outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to treatment.
- Stay current with advancements in acupuncture and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards in acupuncture practice.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in Acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice acupuncture.
- Certification: Certification by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong diagnostic and needling skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care
