Job Description: As an Acupuncturist at Health Atlast Moorpark, you will play a vital role in our integrative healthcare model. You’ll provide acupuncture treatments rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles to help patients manage pain, reduce stress, improve function, and restore balance. Your holistic approach and clinical expertise will complement our existing services and support patients in achieving optimal wellness.
Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patient health histories, symptoms, and goals to create individualized treatment plans.
Acupuncture Treatment: Administer acupuncture using sterile techniques to target specific points and meridians, facilitating the body’s natural healing and energy balance (Qi).
Herbal Medicine: Recommend appropriate herbal remedies, dietary changes, and lifestyle guidance to enhance the effectiveness of acupuncture treatments.
Patient Education: Educate patients on acupuncture principles, self-care strategies, and preventative health measures to support long-term well-being.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with our team of healthcare providers to integrate acupuncture into broader treatment protocols for comprehensive care. Identifying why patients would need acupuncture and other modalities would be expected, and you would educate the patients on the need for that care.
Documentation: Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical records in accordance with clinic standards and regulatory requirements.
Ongoing Learning: Stay current on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in acupuncture and integrative medicine.
Requirements:
Active and valid California Acupuncturist License.
Proficiency in acupuncture techniques (e.g., traditional acupuncture, electroacupuncture, auricular acupuncture).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathetic, patient-focused care philosophy.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
