Universal City:
At our Universal City office interns will have access to the NBCUCommutes program, which provides fully subsidized transit passes to full-time lower lot employees, good for unlimited rides on all Metro bus and rail, such as the Metro Red Line.
Academic Year Recruitment Timeline:
April 21 – May 9: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)
Early May – Mid June: First round video interviews

Program Dates: September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026
Time Commitment: 16-24 hours per week. Exact schedule to be determined based on business need. We will do our best to accommodate course schedules.
Format: Opportunities listed will require an intern to work from Universal City, CA.

Advertising Sales division is large and complex, but these are the general business areas. Ad sales at NBCU Advertising & Partnerships is a multifaceted operation that supports clients through various specialized teams. The Client Team builds and maintains relationships with advertisers, while Ad Strategy and Programmatic ensure targeted and data-driven ad placements. Global Planning and Agency Planning focus on media planning across regions and agencies. Digital Sales Operations handles the technical aspects of digital ad delivery, with Account Services providing client support. Creative Partnerships craft innovative ad content, and Sports Sales capitalizes on NBCU's extensive sports portfolio. Finally, Marketing and Brand Partnerships drive collaborative campaigns, while Data, Measurements, Insights analyze performance to optimize strategies.
Areas of placement may include, but are not limited to:
**Media & Business Operations **
Agency Partnerships: The Agency Partnerships team serves as the central point of contact between NBCU Sales, and the major agency holding companies. This team works in collaboration with the Client Team, Sales, Research, Data, and Marketing teams to create new ways of working with our agency partners to grow revenue for our portfolio of advertising products and services.
Account Services: Provide daily operational support to the Account Service Representatives (ASRs) and Account Services management teams across National Offices, the Hispanic team, and AdSmart. This role is integral to the smooth execution of ad campaigns and overall account service operations.
The Skycastle Digital Studio: Skycastle produces innovative digital advertising products for the NBCUniversal Local portfolio, which includes NBC, Telemundo, NBC Sports, and Peacock. As a Design Intern, you will play an integral role in developing compelling digital ad experiences that span a variety of formats—including display ads, custom video, out-of-home (OOH), and more.
Marketing & Brand Partnerships: From The Real Housewives to WWE, the Creative Partnerships team works across a wide range of NBCUniversal content, pushing the boundaries of creativity and delivering innovative, co-branded solutions. We operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, focused on the ideation and production of engaging video content for both linear television and social platforms. We respond to multiple RFPs each week from our Sales and Development teams, crafting custom creative concepts that align brand partners with NBCU programming. Our goal is to develop compelling content that not only elevates our clients' campaigns but also spotlights our network talent in meaningful ways.
The Advanced Digital Creative Partnerships: This team of collaborative digital experts represents The Fandango Network (Fandango, Fandango at Home, and Rotten Tomatoes) and Sports Next & Golf Now brands.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program (September 2025 through April 2026). December 2025 graduates are not eligible for our 2025-2026 Academic Year Internship Program.
Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
Must be available to work 16-24 hours per week from September 15, 2025 – April 17, 2026.
Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.
NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.
Desired Characteristics:
Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
For Marketing and Brand Partnerships: Proficiency in Avid or Adobe Premiere
For Account Services: Finance/Business background
For Account services: comfortability with math and Excel, data analysis
For Digital: Interactive design, Animation, Coding: (HTML/CSS/JS), Adobe CC, InDesign, Media Encoder
The hourly rate for student interns is $17.50.
