Texas Healthtech Institute has several openings for part-time instructors on hourly basis. We have immediate need for instructors who can teach Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, Asepsis, medical laws courses. Lecture hours are in the day time and evening time depending on class requirements. Commitments - 10 to 15 hours per week . This might be a good supplemental income opportunity.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Adjunct Instructor to join our team! As an Adjunct Instructor, you will be facilitating a classroom, following the agreed-upon class schedule, participating in student discussion boards, and responding to student questions or issues in a timely manner. You will also be grading classwork and providing feedback to help students understand their course materials, address upcoming concerns for students, and ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed. The ideal candidate has a background in education or teaching, has strong communication skills, and can cultivate a positive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Maintain prewritten course schedule and timelines

Grade homework and provide constructive feedback to students

Participate in classroom discussions

Answer student questions to the best of your ability, helping students work through problems and find solutions

Cultivate a positive learning environment for students

Qualifications

Previous experience in a teaching position desired

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to multitask, and shift priorities as needed

Familiarity with online teaching platforms and grading systems
