    Adjunct South Campus PHIL 1301.F2F Summer 2025 Instructor:

    We are advertising for a philosophy instructor who can meet F2F courses at South Campus in Van Alstyne, TX once a week for a 25% F2F and 75% internet course. The F2F meeting is mandatory.

    Philosophy Professor: This is an adjunct position will have primary responsibility in the Arts and Humanities Department for instructing the subject of philosophy following the academic standards of Grayson College. This position works to ensure that students reach learning outcomes. Perform other duties as required by the Department Chair.

    The salary for this position is $675 per credit hour.

    Adjunct Responsibilities:

    75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.

    10% Works as a team member in the Arts and Humanities Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.

    10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.

    5% Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    A minimum of a master’s degree or higher in philosophy or a master’s degree and a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in philosophy from an accredited college is required.

    Previous successful experience teaching at the university or community college level; however, professional experience may be held as equivalent.

    Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.

    Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.

    Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.

    Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.

    Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
