1st Shift Part Time 20-25 Hours/week
Our client Romulus, MI is looking to hire a part-time, on-site administrative professional. In this role you will assist with administrative support for the company, as well as supporting our accounting team with outward communications regarding invoicing, payment status and collection activities.
As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for:
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
Answers phone calls, schedules meetings and supports visitors.
Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
Support accounting activities, follow up with vendors, carriers and customers on account payables and receivables
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
Develops administrative staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Provides information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Administrative Assistant Qualifications:
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with communicating vendors, carriers and customers regarding AP/AR needs (invoicing, status of payment, collection communications)
Requires multi-tasking and time management skills.
Must be comfortable navigating and using computers, as well as have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating superior customer service.
Accurately record and maintain customer information, service requests and changes in service.
Exhibit a consistent, reliable work ethic and demonstrate a desire for continuous improvement in the arena of customer satisfaction.
Customer service experience, able to work with both vendors and customers alike to support basic accounting and collections functions
Salary: $20-$22 an hour (DOE)
