    Job Summary

    We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team at Children’s Care & Development Center. As the Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our school by providing support to the management team, staff, and parents. Your primary responsibilities will include managing administrative tasks, maintaining records, and fostering a welcoming environment for our families and staff.

    Responsibilities

    Reception Duties: Greet parents, children, and visitors with a warm and friendly attitude, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries.

    Support Duties: Provide support to staff for various tasks, including serving a catered hot lunch to classrooms, event planning and other administrative needs.

    Office Management: Ensure the office area is organized and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Oversee office equipment maintenance and handle basic troubleshooting.

    Record Maintenance: Keep accurate and confidential records of children's attendance, medical forms, emergency contact information, and other essential documents.

    Scheduling and Coordination: Assist in creating and managing staff schedules, coordinating with teachers and aides, and organizing special events and activities.

    Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to childcare and administrative functions.

    Qualifications

    Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred.

    Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.

    Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

    Personality: Friendly, approachable, and patient with a passion for working with children and families.

    Other Requirements: Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary childcare certifications.
