The Council for Professional Recognition promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in the early childhood education of children ages birth to 5 years old. The Council works to ensure that all professional early childhood educators and caregivers meet the developmental, emotional, and educational needs of our nation's youngest children. Job Summary:
The Council for Professional Recognition is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the departmental leader by staying organized and completing tasks that allow the leader to focus on more advanced responsibilities. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the departmental leader and other team members to prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documents, and create correspondence for internal and external communication.
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support to the VP and Directors with meeting coordination, spreadsheets, forms, and data reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports, data, projects, and client engagements.
• Maintain databases of external stakeholders and client lists.
• Assist in project management by tracking deadlines and facilitating communication.
• Support the communication of department engagements and accomplishments via digital platforms.
• Liaise with internal and external partners, providing excellent customer service via email communication.
• Provide general information by answering client questions and requests.
• Develop and update administrative systems to enhance efficiency in meeting team goals.
• Be an effective team member and contribute to team efforts by achieving related results.
Key Characteristics and Qualifications:
• Education: Associate's degree in business, communications, education, or a related field (bachelor's degree preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in office management, administrative support, marketing, research, customer service, or data analysis.
• Characteristics: Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), proficiency in computer skills and spreadsheet development (Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, CRM), ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously, commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality, confidentiality, and professionalism, and exceptional interpersonal skills for working with diverse communities.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are characteristic of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Constantly operates a computer. Regularly required to maintain a stationary position, move about the office, determine what others have said or written, and frequently converse with others and exchange accurate information. Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the office. May also include occasional bending, stooping, squatting, and/or pushing and pulling or moving, e.g., to pack, unpack, and/or move cases. Required to move, raise, reach, and/or retrieve binders, books, boxes, and files up to ten (10) pounds. Sporadically, may be responsible for moving, raising, reaching, and/or retrieving binders, boxes, cases, and/or files weighing up to 25 pounds (assistance may not always be available).
Salary Range:
The salary range is $51,000-$54,000. This position is not budgeted to exceed $54,000.
