    Role:

    Administrative Assistant III: Information Technology- Provides executive or senior-level administrative support to various campus divisions.

    The salary range for this position is $16.44 to $24.66 hourly.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    30% Performs clerical duties such as collecting and distributing department mail, preparing correspondence or word processing assignments which may be complex or sensitive in nature, updating department websites, filing, sorting, faxing, and distributing information.

    20% Answers and directs telephone calls; resolves questions and concerns within area of expertise. Collects information and contacts other departments as needed for questions or concerns related to other areas.

    10% Greets and directs guests to the appropriate person; provides quality customer service by answering questions and providing accurate information about the college and its services. Uses effective communication skills to receive and respond to escalated complaints.

    10% Maintains schedules for individuals, meetings, conference rooms, and/or special events; coordinates travel arrangements as needed. Maintains the appearance of campus division offices and conference space.

    10% Performs basic accounting tasks, such as entering requests for purchase orders, entering invoices to be paid from the proper account, and other basic financial record keeping. Maintains or retrieves budget-related information as needed.

    10% Assists senior leadership with special projects. Maintains files on specialized assignments within the division or office.

    5% Assists with meetings and special events: sends invitations, makes reservations, prepares materials, orders refreshments, records minutes, and other related assignments.

    5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.

    Knowledge and Skills: Experience: Two years to five years of similar or related experience. Education: (1) A two year college degree or (2) Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or (3) Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the college for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Other Skills: Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet software, and database experience required (MS Office products preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce detailed, highly accurate work. Physical Requirements: The work is typically sedentary. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to do the work. Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office.
