    Job Title: Administrative Assistant Location: On-site - South Hackensack, NJ Position Type: Part-Time / Full-Time (Hourly) Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour (based on experience)

    Position Overview: Marine Electric Systems Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support a wide range of clerical and office tasks within our organization. This individual will play an important role in maintaining smooth administrative operations across departments, with particular involvement in data entry, purchase order processing, document organization, and general support for internal teams. This position is ideal for someone with basic administrative experience who demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) is a strong plus. You'll work closely with leadership, sales, and procurement teams to ensure data and records are accurate, organized, and accessible. This role requires access to information and systems housed within a U.S. Government cloud environment (Azure Government). As such, U.S. citizenship is required in accordance with federal regulations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enter quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders accurately into the ERP or internal systems.
    • Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems in alignment with office standards.
    • Assist with AR/AP entry and reconciliation processes.
    • Provide general administrative support to team members, including document preparation and communication follow-ups.
    • Support procurement and sales teams with clerical tasks and tracking updates.
    • Assist with office organization, including scheduling, supply inventory, and records management.
    • Perform other clerical and support tasks as assigned by management.

    Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years of administrative or clerical experience preferred.
    • Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    • Familiarity with data entry, spreadsheets, or ERP systems is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to take initiative.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
    • U.S. citizenship is required due to access to federally controlled systems and information.
