  • Responsibilities

    Providence Staffing’s client is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support to our client’s Workforce Training Center. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the Associate Dean of Workforce Development and the Workforce Development Director, ensuring smooth operations and coordination of workforce development initiatives. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
    • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
    • Assist in coordinating and implementing workforce training programs.
    • Draft and manage correspondence, including emails, memos, and official documents.
    • Organize and maintain project files, databases, and other resources.
    • Track project timelines, deliverables, and outcomes to ensure effective program execution.
    • Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and workshops related to workforce training.
    • Support data collection, entry, and reporting for program assessments.
    • Handle routine inquiries from students, staff, and external partners regarding workforce initiatives.
    • Assist in budget monitoring and process purchase orders and reimbursements.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership to support the Workforce Training Center’s success.

     

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational or workforce development setting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and database management.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
