We are seeking an experienced Administrative Nurse Director of Emergency Services to lead our team in providing exceptional emergency care. This leadership role is essential in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care within the Nursing Emergency Services Department and other related healthcare areas. The RN Director will be responsible for the growth and development of services, effective personnel management, and resource allocation to meet the needs of our patients and community.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in nursing, ideally additionally have Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration being highly desirable ( but not required for an experienced candidate ). A minimum of three years of experience in emergency services and five years in a leadership role is required, along with a current nursing license in Texas. Certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are also essential for this position, while additional certifications like Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) are preferred.
In this role, the Administrative Nursing Director will identify challenges within the service and implement effective solutions, ensuring that communication is clear and consistent across all levels. The RN Director will actively participate in departmental and hospital-wide committees and will play a critical role in advancing the patient experience in the Emergency Department. A key focus will be on coaching team members, facilitating their professional development, and maintaining high standards of care.
The position also requires the development and evaluation of emergency services programs that align with the hospital's mission, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards.
