Responsibilities:
Financial and Bookkeeping Duties:
Maintain and balance the general ledger
Prepare financial statements and reports
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
Create and process payroll and tax filings
Provide support during annual audits
Administrative Duties:
Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate individuals
Provide general administrative support, including data entry and filing.
Manage office supplies and maintain inventory
Assist with order entry and processing
Provide employee support and address inquiries or concerns
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in administrative and/or bookkeeping roles
Associate degree or Higher
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in using Xero or similar accounting software
Experience with general ledger reconciliation and financial statement preparation
Familiarity with technical accounting procedures and regulations including tax laws
Bilingual Spanish proficiency is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management tools
Previous experience in public accounting or managing multiple client accounts is a plus
Requirements:
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in travel coordination and handling confidential information is a plus
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Location: Rockville, MD 20852 (Required to relocate before starting)
