    Administrative and Operational Assistant

    St. Martin of Tours – 5450 E. Roosevelt Bld. Philadelphia, PA 19124

    This position is full-time and its primary purpose is to provide administrative and operational support to the Pastor. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and google calendar is necessary. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Find Clergy to assist with parish needs, as necessary

    • Prepare Archdiocesan Reports in cooperation with parish communications coordinator

    • Help parish communications coordinator schedule funerals

    • Schedule new parish registrations and Baptisms

    • Assist the Pastor with Church records: Baptism, Confirmation, and Marriage

    • Work in conjunction with communications coordinator to send the ministry schedule bi-monthly and order materials necessary for the various ministries

    • Maintain PDS – the Parish Census Database

    • Oversee hourly employees, collecting time sheets bi-weekly

    • Sending receipts, and scanned documents to shared services bookkeeper as needed

    • Having pastor review and sign accounts payable weekly

    • Maintain safe handling procedures for cash and deposits

    • Assist pastor in overseeing contractors

    • Assist pastor in hiring, onboarding, and terminating employees

    • Assist other Pastoral Staff as needed

    • Other duties, both secretarial and administrative, as requested of the Pastor
