Full job description
This is a fast-paced, and challenging position, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide the highest level of care for our patients/family members. The Patient Care Coordinator’s primary purpose is to create an exceptional first experience for the patient. Customer service is the number one priority. This individual should have good communication and organizational skills. Job duties also include consulting with patients and/or their representative to obtain personal/demographic information or verify information already on file, including contact, emergency numbers and insurance information. Document appropriate information in the computer system based upon department documentation standards.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors in a welcoming and helpful manner.
Interviewing patients and/or their representative to obtain personal/demographic information or verify information already on file.
Recognize and verify insurance information, obtain current benefits, and explain the benefits breakdown to patients.
Collect payment at time of service.
Ensure proper forms are obtained, accurate, and appropriate documentation is made.
Document information in the computer system based upon department documentation standards.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
2 years of experience; 1 year of Admitting experience preferred
High comfort level with computers.
Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
