Position Description: Physician Assistant-Urgent Care/Emergency Medicine
AFC Urgent Care is looking for Physician Assistants who enjoy the practice of medicine and the chance to focus exclusively on patient care. We are hiring both Full Time and/or Part Time Physician Assistants.

FT Pay: $125,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
PT Pay: $62,500.00 - $110,000.00 per year (Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week)

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Biology or other Pre-medical diploma
Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies diploma
Active and current National Commission Physician Assistant certification
Active and current Medical and/or Osteopathic Physician Assistant license in Pennsylvania
Active and current Federal DEA Mid-Level Practitioner Physician Assistant license
Active and current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Active and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum of one year working as PA-C Provider in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine
Familiar with occupational medicine
Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics (6months+)
Effective and compassionate communicator with staff, patients and family
High-energy individual with a professional appearance and attitude, team player, multi-tasker, and passionate about the practice of medicine
A Plus:
Active and current National Registry DOT/CDL Medical Examiner certification a plus
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing the highest quality patient care
Managing all patient care at the center
Ordering and reading all diagnostic x-rays, EKGs and labs
Perform laceration repair, I&Ds, splinting, eye injury exams, ear lavage and IV infusions
Ensuring medical staff follows proper protocols and conducts patient call backs
Ensuring prescription medication and CLIA approved laboratory compliance
Ensuring accuracy of International Classification of Diseases (ICD) Rev 10 codes
Recommending additional urgent care equipment, supplies and medications needed
Supervising and mentoring of medical staff on shift
Ensuring all charts and medical records (which are kept electronically) are accurately completed in a timely manner
Ensuring patients are discharged with detailed instructions
Ensuring biological specimens are collected and processed in the lab
Adhering to all center policies and procedures
