POSITION TITLE: PHARMACIST – OUTPATIENT PHARMACY
STATUS: PART-TIME (R1 – 45 HOURS PAY/PERIOD)
DAY/SHIFT/HOURS: VARIES.
PHARMACY HOURS OF OPERATION ARE:
MONDAY-FRIDAY 7:00AM TO 6:00PM.
SATURDAY 7:00 AM TO 3:00PM
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Outpatient Pharmacist reports to the Manager, Pharmacy Operations and is responsible for overseeing the dispensing of medications to patients. Responsibilities include: Utilizing technology and management of workflow within the Professional Pharmacy Department. Managing customer interactions in the pharmacy, including patient counseling, complaint resolution, quality assurance management, and adherence to practices which promote customer satisfaction. Assisting in or making recommendations concerning the selection, training, scheduling, development and performance of pharmacy department personnel. Assuring that the Pharmacy department procedures and practices are in compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines. Adhering to federal and state laws and regulations and Union Hospital policies regarding all drugs and products; maintains required records, documentation and reports. Ensuring proper processing of all third party prescriptions, and adheres to partial fill procedures, and utilizes generics whenever possible to maximize profitability. Attends meetings as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
