YOUR EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION INCLUDES:

• 3-5 years of experience in a job shop style machine shop or manufacturing environment
• ERP software experience
• Crystal Reports (or similar Database Reporting) software experience
• Microsoft Office with strong Excel focus
• Strategic Financial Planning and Reporting
• Auditing processes and systems
• Extensive experience with payables & receivables
• Review customer proposals and quotes providing sound financial input to help maintain profitability and qualify/asses risk
• Organized and detail oriented including strong documentation and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills. Analytical, organizational, communication, follow up and people skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task while working under tight deadlines
• The ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Accounting or Finance or a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance or equivalent experience
• CPA experience a benefit

ABOUT YOUR NEW JOB

As an Assistant Controller at ATS you will be a member of our financial team responsible for executing the strategic financial goals and plans. In this position, you will help develop and maintain an organized and proactive financial environment by:

• Presenting a professional image that aligns with company and customer expectations
• Developing processes and procedures to safeguard the company assets
• Learning current financial procedures and processes, adapting to and modifying, where suitable, to supplement and improve effective practices.
• Providing analysis, counsel, advice and recommendations to help management make operating decisions to reduce costs, improve profits and return on investment and to achieve goals and plans
• Building and growing relationships with customers focused on forming key relationships and working with multiple departments and people internally and externally
• Assisting in managing the profitability of the organization by providing sound advice and following up with solid financial support
• Providing financial support including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing and reacting to variations from budget
• Performing month end closing procedures to verify status and work with outside support to verify reports
• Processing payroll & associated taxes
• Communicating forecasted tax impact to management, allocating and preparing for monthly, quarterly, annual taxes based on profits and ensure they are paid accordingly
• Verifying AR, AP & benefits payments are made
• Continuously updating Cash Flow forecast documents based on ever changing business variables
• Providing optional HR support at high level including assisting with onboarding new employees
