    Job Description

    THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION. WORKING HOURS WILL BE M-F 8:00 AM TO 5:00 PM

    Location of job is at 201 8th Ave. South Nashville, TN 37203.

    We are seeking a self-driven, highly motivated individual to complement our growing IT team. The Desktop Support Technician will provide 1st/2nd level technical support and assistance for our client base, creating a valuable relationship by listening to customers and championing client's needs.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Provide Level I and Level II troubleshooting support assistance for stand-alone workstations such as hardware refresh, security application patching, and virus protection
    • Track and document trouble tickets
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical problems either remotely or at user's desk
    • Assist System Administrator and Network Administrator when needed and accurately report to the IT team
    • Ensure that all help desk calls are treated with the utmost courtesy, and they are quickly and effectively resolved
    • Assist with the training and orientation of user staff
    • Work with other members of the IT team to troubleshoot and resolve user issues as they arise
    • Work with vendors support contacts to resolve technical problems

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems
    • Windows 7, 8, and 10
    • Virus, spyware, malware prevention/removal
    • Standalone and shared printer installation/removal
    • Installation and general support of miscellaneous desktop applications
    • Experience working with all levels of management in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience with VOIP phone systems/Blackberry phone configuration and support, PREFERRED
    • Microsoft fundamentals or role-based certifications, PREFERRED
    • A service-oriented attitude: patience and resolve to do what it takes to get the job done correctly and bolster client satisfaction
    • Ability to quickly/easily learn new technologies and acquire proficiency
    • Ability to manage technical requests with minimal supervision

    Compensation is based on Technical Scale and experience.
