This group also provides strategic and operational support to A-CAP’s portfolio companies/subsidiaries, proactively formulates new investment strategies, oversees external financing and acquisition activities, and provides modeling support for insurer liabilities and capital. On the insurance product side, A-CAP’s primary lines of business are traditional fixed and equity-indexed annuities, with additional business in whole life insurance, Medicare supplement, and hospital indemnity products. A-CAP insurers originate over $2 billion of new premium annually. A-CAP’s offices are located in New York, Charleston, Salt Lake City and Chicago.
Job Description
ACM has an immediate opening for an Investment Reporting Analyst. This role reports directly to the Investment Reporting Director and works closely with portfolio managers, and the operations and accounting teams to track the performance of a broad range of complex investments and produce routine and ad hoc reporting. The successful candidate should possess strong quantitative skills in data management and process optimization. An adaptable, diligent, and self-motivated personality is also a must, as the Investment Reporting Analyst will work in a high-pressure environment independently and take initiative to manage activities within the operations function.
Annual Compensation Range
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $90,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience plus a discretionary bonus
Job Location
Manhattan, NY. The team works at the Midtown office at least three days per week.
Responsibilities
· Support the front office to perform analysis and develop performance reports and other deliverables for current and prospective investors, senior management, and regulators
· Extract financial and performance information from internal and external reporting; evaluate and synthesize such information in relation to surveillance and reporting objectives
· Work with the front office and risk/analytics professionals to determine the proper booking and monitoring approach for new transactions; establish appropriate post-closing surveillance procedures
· Monitor data quality in investment management and accounting systems; assist with process improvement and efficiency initiatives
· Manage fee invoicing process for various funds
· Work with various teams on projects related to the growth of business, such as process enhancements and supporting new business initiatives
Qualifications
· Professional experience in a similar role (ideally 3+ years), including substantial exposure to complex non-traditional fixed income investments (e.g., structured credit, private credit, real estate)
· Advanced Excel skills (VBA preferred), data analytic skills and programming experience a plus
· Experience in generating new report templates and reporting frameworks and processes
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to work independently and multi-task in a complex and fast-paced environment
