    POSITION SUMMARY

    Glass Roots Construction (GRC) was founded in 2022 by a team of career telecom and construction professionals and needs an Aerial Foreman to help us flourish. GRC looks to leverage the latest technologies and utilize the best-in- industry equipment, construction, and safety practices to build a first-class nationwide fiber optic construction firm. The Aerial Foreman will supervise and coordinate aerial telecom construction projects. This role involves leading a team of linemen, managing daily operations, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to industry and company standards. This position will report to the Market Manager and represents an opportunity to join an excellent team on the ground floor and learn a lot as GRC grows!

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and manage aerial linemen crews, ensuring all team members understand their tasks and responsibilities.
    • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead fiber optic and coaxial networks.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations and company policies.
    • Plan and schedule daily tasks, allocate resources, and track project progress.
    • Perform quality control checks to ensure work meets project specifications and company standards.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including equipment malfunctions and cable damage.
    • Maintain accurate records of materials used, project timelines, and team performance.
    • Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
    • Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and productivity.
    • Proven experience as an Aerial Lineman, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
    • In-depth knowledge of aerial construction techniques, tools, and safety protocols.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Valid driver’s license (Class A CDL preferred).
    • Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
    • Experience with fiber optic installation, splicing, and testing.
    • Familiarity with National Electric Safety Code (NESC) standards.
    • Proficiency in project management and tracking tools.
    • Certifications in bucket truck operation, climbing, or safety training (a plus).

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Proven experience as an Aerial Lineman, with at least 2 years in a leadership or foreman role.
