    Affinity is a licensed Massachusetts Medical Marijuana company open in West Springfield. We are looking to expand our team of talented Cannabis Assistants. The main responsibilities of this position include interacting with, educating, and advising patients face-to-face and by phone; POS / retail sales; assisting with inventory and cash management; interacting with local service providers; and helping to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility inside and out.

    Successful candidates will possess outstanding customer service skills, a constant desire for self-improvement, and attention to detail.     Responsibilities

    • Deliver world-class service through attention to detail and a customer centric mindset
    • Maintain a clean, safe, compliant, and welcoming environment inside and outside the dispensary
    • Complete daily opening and closing tasks; responsibility to balance your cash register
    • Use the Point of Sale system to ensure all relevant information is recorded and tracked accurately
    • Help patients with selecting Cannabis products; advise and educate them about mode of delivery, dosing, strains, and more
    • Assist Dispensary Manager / Assistant Managers & Supervisors with inventory and cash management, daily and weekly
    • Learn, follow, and maintain knowledge of relevant MA cannabis regulations
    • Ensure all compliance rules and regulations are always followed
    • Always maintain absolute confidentiality
    • Ensure standards of quality, customer service, and health and safety are met
    • Respond to customer complaints and comments by following Affinity policies and practices
    • Accurately fulfill patient orders and patient intake procedures
    • Maintain a positive work environment conducive to trust, caring, respect and cleanliness
    • Other duties as requested or assigned by Management to support Affinity’s performance

    Requirements

    • Must be 21 years of age
    • Two+ years’ experience in a fast-paced client-service intensive industry; cannabis product knowledge or prior experience working in a dispensary preferred
    • · High school diploma or equivalent
    • Outstanding phone and in-person customer service skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and calmly in a positive and informative manner
    • Flexibility in schedule, potential to accommodate weekends and holidays
    • Familiarity with history and varieties of medical marijuana preferred but not required
    • Computer and equipment operations necessary for working in a retail center (POS systems; office equipment such as copiers, telephone systems)
    • Math skills needed for basic inventory and cash management
    • Thrives performing job duties in a fast-paced environment; stays even-keeled in periods of stress
    • Ability to focus; attention to detail
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
    • Absolute reliability and honesty
    • Can physically tolerate extended time standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Must pass a background check (state mandated)

    Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

    Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour
