Position is full time at Camp Pendleton CA supporting I MEF Expeditionary Operations Training Group (G-7), in a mixed civilian/military environment providing training, evaluation and certification to deploying Marine Expeditionary Units
Communicates daily with USMC leadership and maintains constant contact with key stakeholders to ensure all deliverables are being met.
Provides advice, recommendations, and guidance regarding the planning and execution of all courses and INTEROP, MIT, RUT, PMINT, ARGMUEX and COMPTUEX exercises.
Manage day-to-day operations and immediately resolves issues, conflict and or substandard performance.
Maintains High Risk Training Instructor Training Jackets.
Maintains accountability of all equipment provided to instructor staff.
Provides Lead Instructors with semi-annual Performance Reviews.
Responsible for requesting and coordinating all training areas/sites and air space in support of all courses and exercises.
Responsible for requesting all logistical support in support of all courses and exercises.
Responsible for managing scheduling and maintenance of STB owned Camp Pendleton Ranges (R110A,B,C,D, R111 and R226)
Attend / hold periodic meetings with various base Range Control Officers to brief exercise plan and de-conflict training space.
Plans and Executes initial site survey of various off base training sites for suitability of exercise objectives.
Creates, maintains and briefs site survey reports.
Plans and executes follow on site surveys of approved off base training site to determine raid Concept of Operations, Site Constraints and Restraints and Site medical plan/Operational Risk Management.
Creates, maintains and briefs updates to Concept of Operations, Site Constraints and Restraints and Site medical plan/ Operational Risk Management during all exercise planning conferences.
Acts as Site Lead at the training sites during the execution of the exercises.
Travel: Approx. 6 weeks per year off base training in Southwest US locations; conduct periodic off base site surveys; attend various sustainment training when available.
May occasionally be required to work non-routine office hours, travel to other locations, or work extended hours in support of training event or exercise.
May occasionally be required to assist in the completion of corporate functions such as timekeeping, on-boarding, completion of corporate training requirements, and other similar duties as required.
Required Skills
USMC MOS 0321 or 0372; or Navy SEAL; or Army Special Forces (18 series).
Secret clearance.
USMC Basic Instructor Course or service equivalent.
USMC Sergeants Course or higher, or service equivalent.
Knowledge of commercially procured computer applications (e.g., Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.) and peripheral equipment to produce a variety of documents, charts, graphs, and briefing materials.
