    We are looking for a qualified & Experienced Director to join our team!

    The After School Coordinator as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Center. The function of the After School Coordinator is day-to- day activities of the Center within the policies, philosophy and goals adopted by the managers of our Before and After School Program. Candidate should have 5+ years experience in childcare management/administration, and enjoy working as part of a team. If you have previous experience in this field, we'd like to meet you!

    Accountabilities and Major Work Activities:

    Assess fiscal and program needs of the Center and prepares budget.

    Implements policies and recommendations of the Committee to meet fiscal and program needs.

    Maintains fiscal controls for accountability.

    Hires, supervises and terminates administrative and teaching staff.

    Responsible for identifying developmental needs of children, professional needs of staff, support needs of families and implementation of curriculum.Responsible for planning programs to conform with approval standards and licensing regulations.

    Monitors staff and program effectiveness.

    Responsible for supervising staff by communicating performance expectations, policies and procedures; evaluating, and communicating evaluation of staff performance; developing and implementing staff training.

    Responsible for carrying out designated administrative responsibilities including enrollment and attendance records for children and staff, monthly reports, requisitions of supplies and equipment, inventory of supplies and equipment, staff scheduling, payroll, oversees food service program and other duties.

    Responsible for implementing a Parent Involvement Program.

    Responsible for recruiting, certifying and enrolling children as necessary.

    Responsible for assuring order, cleanliness and safety of entire facility.

    Responsible for maintaining a public relation program that includes marketing the Center and providing public information.

    Responsible for administering and adhering to all Personnel and Operational policies.

    Responsible for conducting staff meetings, and attending training and study conferences.

    Responsible for positive interpersonal relationships with staff, children and parents.

    Responsible for willingness to be flexible to perform other job related tasks as the need arises to maintain a quality program.

    Maintain records and files, these would include the following:

    a. Children's enrollment records and Children's files

    b. Staff files per instruction of the Director

    c. Menus and other necessary food records

    d. Documentation of monthly fire drills, menus and other necessary food records

    e. Lesson plans and newsletters

    f. Any local, state, or federal required forms, records, or other materials.

    g. List of qualified substitutes with phone numbers.

    Qualifications:

    Four year degree in Elementary Education or related field.

    License/Certification: Child Development Site Supervisor Permit (Required) Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development or comparable field

    Minimum requirement of 5 years in early childhood education, management/admin experience preferred

    3 - 5 years experience in child care or other children's program or one year experience as an Assistant Director and 33 course hours in child care administration.

    Have the ability to juggle multiple duties

    Ability to resolve conflicts with staff and customers

    Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, and ability to learn other programs quickly

    Current, medical report with tuberculin test.

    No conviction of a felony, violent crime or any crime involving moral turpitude, child abuse or neglect.

    First Aid and CPR certified.

    Maintain training requirements in compliance with the Center policies.
