    Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Aftercare Program Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our school’s aftercare program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of students, managing staff, and providing a positive environment for after-school activities. This role involves coordinating pick-up and drop-off procedures, monitoring staff performance, and ensuring the overall quality of the aftercare experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Supervise and manage the aftercare program, ensuring a safe, organized, and supportive environment for students.

    Coordinate and monitor pick-up and drop-off procedures, ensuring all children are safely transported.

    The Aftercare Program Supervisor will also be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising a wide variety of enriching after-school activities for students. This role will ensure students have a safe, engaging, and educational experience after school hours. The supervisor will work closely with staff to coordinate enrichment activities, monitor student behavior, and maintain communication with parents about their child’s progress.

    Lead and manage a team of aftercare staff, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training as needed.

    Monitor and maintain proper student-to-staff ratios in compliance with safety guidelines and policies.

    Communicate effectively with parents.

    Ensure that all safety protocols and school policies are strictly followed at all times.

    Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incident reports, and other program-related documentation.

    Handle any behavioral or emergency situations appropriately and in accordance with school policy.

    Promote a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages cooperation and respect among students and staff.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).

    Previous experience in child care, education, or aftercare program supervision is preferred.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.

    Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.

    CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

    A passion for working with children and fostering a positive afterschool environment.
