  • Responsibilities

    Northwest Pump is seeking an Aftermarket Specialist in the Puget Sound region. This sales-focused role will involve understanding customer needs to optimize their equipment performance, and collaborating with suppliers, sales representatives, service technicians, and internal teams to ensure seamless service and support.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and prospects by calling on existing accounts, participating in trade shows, as well as cold calling
    • Manage assigned territory, by phone, email, and in-person visits
    • Drive aftermarket product sales by identifying client needs and offering tailored solutions for parts, services, maintenance agreements, and upgrades
    • Ensure customers are satisfied with the performance of products and services, addressing any issues promptly
    • Develop applications, prepare quotes and collaborate with Service for order processing
    • Provide training and technical support to Industrial Service team on product features, benefits, and usage
    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotes, sales orders, and feedback using CRM system
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product developments, and competitors' offerings

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales or service of industrial pumps or compressors
    • Strong knowledge industrial pumps and mechanical seals
    • Strong math, science, or engineering background; bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university a plus
    • Ability to work autonomously, and as a team; self-motivated
    • Ability to manage projects effectively, strong organizational skills
    • Must have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
    • Proven history of being reliable and dependable; ability to perform work with minimal to no supervision/ assistance
    • Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with all levels of customers and coworkers; ability to read, write and communicate in English
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to operate standard office equipment including computers, telephone systems, and copiers with reasonable accommodation
    • Presentation and training experience utilizing Power Point and other technology resources is strongly preferred
    • Must possess and maintain a safe driving record with valid driver's license
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
