    iKids U Central Texas is seeking dedicated, experienced Afterschool Site Managers who are not only skilled in delivering a great childcare experience for parents and young children, but also enthusiastic about impacting Pre-K to elementary-aged children and co-workers as a site manager. This role is perfect for someone who loves the challenge of managing a team while also ensuring top-notch educational standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    iKids U Afterschool Team Managers are responsible for the overall management, program quality, and successful daily delivery of our afterschool program at your assigned school campus.

    You will lead and inspire a team of 2-6 instructional staff and oversee the implementation of our unique, flexible afterschool program for 4-12 year olds, all while providing exceptional care for the children our team serves.

    iKids’ fun and educational afterschool program includes time for young children to enjoy and explore activities in the Arts, STEM, Languages, indoor/outdoor recreational games, afternoon snack time, homework help, and playing with friends.

    Our Site Managers bring their passion to the school communities we serve and take pride in bringing impactful, positive afterschool experiences to the diverse children in our care.

    Afterschool Team Manager duties include:

    1. Lead, model, delegate, and coach childcare and instructional team members to deliver daily engaging learning activities for Pre-K and elementary-aged students.

    2. Ensure compliance with Texas Rising Star and State of Texas Childcare Licensing minimum standards for afterschool classroom settings.

    3. Perform regular staff evaluations and foster a supportive team environment through collaborative communication with your field staff and the office administration team.

    4. Be the respectful leader you’d like to follow by leading with personal integrity.

    5. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, children, school administrators, and the school community through a pro-active, problem-solving, congenial approach.

    6. Manage your school supplies efficiently (no purchasing, just organizing, responsibilities).

    7. Attend regular monthly and as needed Site Manager meetings with your Program Director(s).

    8. Attend monthly training sessions to maintain and exceed minimum childcare standards.

    What We Offer:

    A 20-30 hour weekly schedule (minimum 4 hours per day, 5 days a week) with occasional evening or back to school weekend event hours and a preference for someone who is great at customer service and technology to add optional clerical hours as needed for your site. This schedule is great for energetic parents or grandparents who may want summer hours too or their summers off, or college and graduate students who want to hone their skills in working with young children in a high-quality educational setting.

    iKids U is a professionally managed program and offers the opportunity to grow from a Part-Time position into Full-Time year-round career opportunities for great performers.

    A competitive hourly starting rate with scheduled opportunities for performance reviews, at 90 days and beyond, on the job training to hone your leadership skills, and earning promotions for delivering exceptional performance in the field.

    Paid initial training*, pre-approved expense reimbursement for classroom supplies, on-going paid training opportunities, promotions for exceptional performers to become Full Time Site Managers and Full Time Site Directors are all part of the iKids U way for our team to be successful at work with our company.     *Initial training is paid after 90 days of service.

    Qualifications:

    · Our Team Managers are in charge of managing the program on-site and will have at least 1 year if not several years’ experience working in a setting with younger children (ages 3-12).

    · 1 year team leadership minimum in a school or afterschool setting.

    · Can fully pass a Federal, State, and County background check for DFPS and DPS.

    · Has CPR/ First Aid Training or willing to pass this training within 30 days of starting.

    • High school graduate at a minimum with college degree or course work in childcare, education or child development strongly encouraged

    · Problem-solver; clear, kind pro-active communicator; organized; coachable; committed to providing great customer service; exercises integrity; is servant-leader orientated.
