Leaders of Tomorrow Youth Center (LTYC) in Laurel, MD, US, is in search of an Afterschool Theatre Instructor to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement creative and engaging theatre lesson plans for students. • Purpose: To foster a passion for the arts and enhance students' creativity and self-expression. • Collaborate with colleagues to produce and direct after-school theatre performances. • Purpose: To provide students with a platform to showcase their talent and build confidence. • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students. • Purpose: To ensure a positive and supportive space for students to explore theatre. • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback on performances and projects. • Purpose: To help students improve their skills and grow as performers. • Assist in organizing and coordinating theatre-related events and field trips. • Purpose: To enrich students' theatre experience and exposure to the arts. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Drama, or related field. • Experience in teaching or working with youth in an educational setting. • Strong classroom management skills. • Ability to create engaging lesson plans for theatre activities. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Compensation: $30 - $35 hourly
