JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Supports VP of Human Resources as a liaison in responding to Team Member issues. Researches Team Member complaints. Assists in the communication of company and corporate decisions with regard to policy changes. Works with and/or suggests to Human Resources Team Members, programs affecting workplace culture. Administers Team Member benefit plans such as life, health dental, disability insurance, 125 cafeteria plan, Leave of Absence and Workers’ Compensation
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or GED
· 2 years of college preferred
· 2-3 years Human Resources experience required or a combination of related education and experience
· Strong management and computer skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
· Maintains a high visible presence and direct contact with Team Members within their normal work environment.
· Works with management on matters related to counseling and coaching, recommend discipline for employees in accordance with established guidelines. Oversees termination process and exit interviews.
· Brief new managers on the policies and procedures in conjunction with development and learning.
· Provide coaching to managers and supervisors on difficult and complex HR issues.
· Respond to all EDD claims and represent the Tribe at EDD hearings as required.
· Assist in or prepare reports relating to the human resources issues (i.e., turnover, Team Member Relations matters, conducts exit interviews,) for department, and ACBCI.
· Support Learning and Development activities including creating and facilitating training classes.
· Makes recommendations to the VP of Human Resources to establish policies and procedures to improve Team Member Relations.
· Researches concerns and issues of active Team Members.
· Knowledgeable of company, departmental and central policies, policy changes and decisions. Communicates appropriate information to Team Members as directed.
· As directed by the VP of Human Resources, shall coordinate Team Member forums as needed.
· Administer employee benefits ensuring Team Members know the current benefits offerings.
· Assist Team Members during the enrollment process answering any questions they may have.
· Manage all Team Member leaves of absences and work place injury leaves.
· Provide excellent guest service.
· Must adhere to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACCRS and SRC System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 ½ mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke filled environment.
Typically the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.
