    AidKit Application Engineer

AidKit is building the infrastructure the world needs (and deserves!) to deliver cash aid effectively. We believe that the best of technology should be used for good and we are continually investing in pushing the envelope of efficiency while setting new bars for dignity and accessibility.

We work with nonprofits and government organizations to serve diverse populations including the unhoused, the undocumented, and the unbanked. We power some of the nation’s largest direct cash and guaranteed income pilots with tools that reduce administrative burden, increase impact, and protect participants’ personal information. To date, we have worked with partners on the cutting edge of social services and philanthropy to deliver more than $150 million in aid to more than 75,000 individuals.

We are looking for a talented Application Engineer to lead technical implementation of our software for some of the largest direct cash and basic income programs in the nation. The role does not require the ability to write code, but rather requires the ability to configure AidKit's low/no code platform to the needs of our partners. Building survey instruments and querying databases using SQL are high signals for this role.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • Collaborate with our customers, program managers, and the AidKit platform engineering team to design the AidKit instance that will optimally address customer needs. • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments to evaluate potential solutions and determine their viability.
    • Configure AidKit’s software to best meet customer requirements.
    • Perform software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the stability and performance of applications.
    • Drive resolution of critical issues for customers, partners, and beneficiaries, including root cause analysis and course corrections resulting in more efficient program implementation.
    • Take responsibility for ensuring excellent UX in collaboration with program managers and customers.
    • Identify areas where the current platform needs enhancement to optimally meet customer needs and translate custom development work to the platform engineering team.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and assist in the creation of compelling proposals and presentations.
    • Support multiple programs simultaneously

    ABOUT YOU:

    • You are located and authorized to work in the US
    • You are tech-savvy; comfortable with data and databases - knowledge of SQL is a plus
    • We do not have a hard requirement for a number of years experience, we’re more interested in what you uniquely bring to the table to meet AidKit’s needs for this role.
    • You have a proven track record of translating systems requirements into technical solutions
    • You are comfortable using logic to configure software
    • You are willing to jump in and do right by those we serve
    • You care deeply about the mission of direct aid and supporting anyone who needs help, no matter where they come from

    LOCATION AND COMPENSATION
