About us.

Family owned and operated since 1985, we are looking to hire a member of our freight forwarding team. Our suite of companies work in tandem to provide services including Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding, Trucking, and Warehousing/Distribution. This position is with Fleischer Freight Services, Inc., and is dedicated to processing Import Shipments for both AIR and Ocean

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and thoroughness

Strong writing and verbal communication skills

Able to work autonomously and also in a team setting

Responsibilities:

Process Air and Ocean Import Shipments from origin to final destination, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

Prepare and review import documents (B/L's, CBP forms, Commercial Invoices and Packing Lists, Carrier VOCC's Arrival Notices, Agents Invoices, etc.) ensuring accurate data receipt for processing as import freight files.

Collaborate with other companies (in-house and external), to ensure all parties are updated regarding changes in schedules, delays in customs clearances notices, and other milestones pertinent to each shipment.

Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and trouble shoot resolution.

Transcribe data from documents into Cargowise, ensuring accuracy and integrity of the information entered.

Experience:

Requires experience in high volume transactional environment.

Air Import - 1 year of experience required.

Ocean Import - 1 year of experience required.

Proficiency in Cargowise is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications is required. (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Bachelor's degree is preferred
