    Slate Aviation is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Aircraft Interior Mechanic to join our Interiors team. This position focuses on the removal, repair, installation, and refurbishment of aircraft cabin components, including seating, panels, flooring, cabinetry, and insulation systems. Experience working with CRJ200 aircraft interiors is a strong plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft interior components such as seats, panels, carpet, cabinetry, overhead bins, and sidewalls.

    • Inspect interior parts and components for damage, wear, or safety concerns, and report or correct as needed.

    • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and technical manuals related to aircraft interiors.

    • Assist in cabin layout modifications, reconfigurations, and VIP interior installations.

    • Install insulation, soundproofing materials, and furnishings with precision and adherence to FAA requirements.

    • Maintain accurate records of work performed in accordance with company policies and FAA regulations.

    • Ensure cleanliness and quality control of aircraft interiors throughout the process.

    • Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or vocational training in aircraft interiors or upholstery preferred.

    • Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft interior work; experience on CRJ200 or other regional jets highly desirable.

    • Familiarity with aviation materials, adhesives, fasteners, and tools.

    • Ability to read and interpret drawings, maintenance manuals, and work instructions.

    • Strong attention to detail, craftsmanship, and safety.

    • Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.

    • Excellent time management and communication skills.

    Preferred Experience With:

    • CRJ200 interior refurbishment and reconfiguration

    • Composite panel repair and refinishing

    • Carpet and upholstery installation

    • VIP or executive aircraft interior modifications

    • Cabin lighting and entertainment systems integration
