  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    This role is responsible for conducting site inspections, troubleshooting engineering issues, and providing technical recommendations to enhance construction efficiency and quality. The Airside Field Engineer will be expected to review design plans, assist with submittals, and track work progress to support successful project completion. Candidates should have experience in airside construction, pavement engineering, drainage systems, and airfield electrical installations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform on-site quality inspections to verify compliance with FAA standards.
    • Oversee materials testing for asphalt, concrete, and subgrade compaction.
    • Maintain quality control documentation and ensure adherence to specifications.
    • Maintain detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and photographic documentation to track quality control findings and project progress.
    • Work closely with contractors, project engineers, and regulatory authorities to maintain strict compliance with safety regulations and quality assurance standards.
    • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience in airfield quality control.
    • Experience with FAA AC 150/5370-10 and ACI concrete testing standards.
    • Proficiency in interpreting construction specifications, contract documents, and FAA standards.
    • Relevant QA/QC certifications such as ICC (International Code Council), or ACI (American Concrete Institute).

    Additional Information

    **The salary range for this full-time role is $80K-$130k per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications. **
