(BUILDING AND GROUNDS TECHNICIAN)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform scheduled PM’s of all Building related items.
- Perform a variety of general building maintenance repairs and services.
- Inspect, clean, and replace any and all light fixture/bulbs within the property.
- Perform painting duties as needed to maintain a clean and attractive building.
- Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
- Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance Manager which will include picking up trash, sweeping curbs, maintaining a clean dumpster area, and maintaining lawns/ other landscape areas.
- Maintain efficient function of the Boilers, Water Softener, RO Water system, and perform all Chemical testing requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment with consideration of all those who may be working in the same area.
- Document routine PM’s in the proper Log Book.
- Assist Maintenance Manager is scheduling, implementing, and revising PM routines.
- Inform the proper management of any Maintenance supplies needed.
- Assist with Capital improvement projects as needed.
- Enter Maintenance Data in CMMS program.
- Perform Sanitation
- Perform any required Fabrication Duties needed.
- Assist Maintenance Manager with Shop inventory control.
- Assist with continual updating of PM program to the Building’s specific needs.
- Identify problems and implement solutions.
- Ensure that your work environment is safe.
- Follow company safety procedures.
- Responsible for 24 hr. emergency Maintenance service as needed.
- Carry pager/cell phone as required for on-call Maintenance services.
- Monthly inspection of all Pest Control items as directed by QC.
- And other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs several times a day
- Time management assertiveness to adjust to specific duties
- Exposure to food related environments
- Understand the process of Greasing Bearings and other mechanical Motion components.
- A General knowledge of High Pressure Steam Systems and the components associated with them.
- Operate Pallet Jack, Aerial Lifts, and Fork Lifts
- Operate a personal computer and peripherals.
- A complete understanding of the operation of Hand Tools and Power Tools.
- Ability to write detailed repair reports as well as good verbal communication.
- Complete understanding of the State of Indiana and AIB Pest Control Program
- 2 - 4 Years of Building/Grounds Maintenance.
- Knowledge of Pest control requirements per AIB standards is required.
- Institutional, confectionery, or industrial background preferred.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D is required
- Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset.
- Certificate from the State of Indiana in Pest Control.
